WHY
HOW
The Mia Fontana Foundation aims to help:
-
Deepen emotional connections between parents/caregivers and children
-
Build emotional skills to help children and teens thrive
-
Spotlight the importance of mental health and raise awareness of the unique vulnerabilities of some children
-
Serve as a trusted resource to parents and caregivers searching for answers on how they can best support their children

Mental health matters.
-
Suicide is now the second leading cause of death in young people aged 10 - 24.
-
One in five children aged 13 - 18 have, or will have a serious mental illness.
-
Many children and teens feel unsupported, lonely and are losing hope that things will get better.
-
Our goal is to reduce the number of children and teens experiencing the pain of mental health issues while supporting and providing hope to those that do.
